Salem’s Lot book out now

I’ve been dreaming about Salem’s Lot for more than 30 years. That’s the length of time that has passed since I first watched it on British TV. But I’ve never forgotten it – or the image of that ghastly child floating outside his brother’s bedroom window, eyes glowing evilly, his mouth opening wide to bare a vampire’s fangs… So to help quell those long-held terrors I put together a book on arguably the most terrifying TV film of them all. And now it’s here – Studies in the Horror Film: Tobe Hooper’s Salem’s Lot is out from Centipede Press. It’s 320 pages long, packed with interviews, essays, behind-the-scenes stills, artwork and script extracts. And it’s edited by me. Welcome to the quiet little town of Salem’s Lot. Just be sure to leave before nightfall…Image
