Wicker Man embers burn bright

Illustrator Steve Kirkham writes: “We have the rights to do an official book on The Wicker Man. Does anyone have any rare materials/photos etc they might be willing to share? I know Tony Earnshaw was working on a book but that seems to have gone to ground. Thanks”

I don’t know what “gone to ground” means. My book is still on the slate. Interesting that The Wicker Man continues to resonate. If only someone had an archive of exclusive never-before-seen behind-the-scenes photographs. Maybe Canal Plus will open its vaults. That’s where the treasure is.

My interviews on this timeless piece of British fantasy cinema include Christopher Lee, Edward Woodward, Robin Hardy, Anthony Shaffer, Peter Snell, Roger Corman, Ingrid Pitt, Britt Ekland, Aubrey Morris, Barbara Anne Brown, Eric Boyd-Perkins, Ted Morley, Peter Allwork, Martin Maclean, Stewart Hopps, Gary Carpenter, Sue Yelland, Seamus Flannery, Denis Whitehouse, Jimmy Devis, Ian Cutler, Peter Brewis, Danny Boyle, Ewan McGregor, plus more members of the crew, extras who appeared in the film and other interested parties.

It’ll be a great book.

    Hi Tony,

Wondering how the book is going. You’ve had this page up for awhile with no news. Looking forward to it coming out.

Perhaps you might find some info that would be appealing on this Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/29082840986/

It has lots of knowledgeable people in it including some who helped make the movie.
