The BFI London Film Festival has announced this year’s line-up. Included in its programme are five feature films backed by Screen Yorkshire’s Yorkshire Content Fund. It’s Screen Yorkshire’s biggest presence at a film festival in its ten-year history and a testament to the impact the Yorkshire Content Fund is having on the film industry in the UK.

The five films showing are: Testament of Youth (the Centrepiece Gala screening), X+Y (selected for the Love Section), and Hockney (selected for the Documentary Competition) which will each have their World or European Premieres, whilst ’71 and Catch Me Daddy have both been selected in the First Feature Competition for the prestigious Sutherland Award. In addition Sameena Jabeen Ahmed (actor) and Daniel Wolfe and Matthew Wolfe (writers/directors of Catch Me Daddy), and Taron Egerton (actor, Testament of Youth) are competing for the Best British Newcomer Award.
