A 24-page black-and-white salute to the Oscar-winning cinematographer Jack Cardiff (1914-2009) to tie-in with a retrospective of his work at the 7th Bradford Film Festival. Painter with Light contains an essay by Tony on Cardiff’s 80-year career, an extensive filmography, list of awards and a series of tributes from friends and colleagues. Illustrated with many photographs from Cardiff’s personal collection. Among the star-studded contributors are Kirk Douglas, Charlton Heston, Martin Scorsese, Richard Fleischer, Rod Taylor and Sophia Loren.
